Embark on a cruise along the mangrove-lined estuaries of the Santubong and Salak rivers in search of wildlife such as the rare Irrawaddy dolphins, as well as the odd-nosed proboscis monkeys.
This cruise can be booked as a morning tour or as evening tour. The evening cruise additionally gives you the chance to enjoy a beautiful sunset (subject to weather conditions) and to witness the natural spectacle of fireflies lighting up the mangrove plants like Christmas trees at night!

You will be picked up from your hotel in the city for a drive of about 45 minutes to the quaint village of Santubong. From here you will embark on a cruise along the mangrove-lined estuaries of the Santubong and Salak rivers in search of wildlife such as the rare Irrawaddy dolphins, as well as the odd-nosed proboscis monkeys. Your guide will give you lots of interesting information about the unique ecosystem of the mangrove forests, while on the look-out for the animals. If you are lucky you might also spot a crocodile sunbathing on the river banks!
After this exciting experience, return to the village where you will proceed to a local family home for a home-cooked meal. Get to know your hosts and the culture of the Malay people while enjoying typical Malay food!
Tour ends with transfer back to your hotel.
